This Spring, visitors to the Council Grove area will have an excellent opportunity to view the 13-member bison herd recently introduced on the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Free, ranger-directed bus tours will resume in May, departing for the Windmill pasture, where the herd is located. Walk-ins are welcome, but space is limited and reservations are advised.
